Rent a Car in Altoona Near Hampton Inn and Suites Altoona-Des Moines by Hilton
If you're staying with us at Hampton Inn and Suites Altoona-Des Moines by Hilton, you're already close to some of the best rental companies in Altoona. Most guests ask us the same thing at check-in — is it worth renting a car here? — and honestly, it depends on your plans. If you're sticking close to Altoona and the immediate area, you probably won't need one. But if you want to explore Altoona beyond the usual tourist stretch, or head out toward nearest airport without depending on rideshare surge pricing, having your own car makes the trip a lot less stressful.
We've partnered with rental providers that offer pick-up options close enough to walk to from the hotel, or a short shuttle ride if you'd rather not lug your bags. Note that Hampton Inn and Suites Altoona-Des Moines by Hilton is Free Parking, On-site parking, so it's worth checking that detail before you book if you're planning to keep the car parked here overnight.
